The Duke & The Duchess of Cambridge take part in the The Kings Cup Sailing Race

On August 8, 2019, William and Kate, the Duke and the Duchess of Cambridge arrive in Cowes to take part in King's Cup yachting regatta. This is the first time that William and Kate takes part in this yacht race around the Isle of Wight. Both lead a team that will compete to win the historic King's Cup. This regatta is open to the public who have the chance to see the two british royals compete.

For the arrival Kate wears a casual nautical outfit composed by a $190 knit striped top from Sandro, £150 navy blue trousers from L.K. Bennet, white canvas from Superga and Kiki McDonough diamonds and yellow gold heart shaped earrings. Later she will change this outfit for another one more appropriate for the regatta.

In fact for greeting the charity ambassadors and taking pictures, she changed in a white jacket, a white polo shirt, navy shorts and New Balance sneakers, with the same earrings, which is a kind of uniform.

This race is organized to raise founds for eight charities supported by the Duke and the Duchess of Cambridge. Eight boats take part in the race, so Kate gets ready to go head to head against husband Prince William.

Then the royal couple took part in the award ceremony of the winning team that is awarded with the King's Cup which is an historic trofy. This is not the first time that the Royal Couple compete in a regatta as they did in Canada, New Zealand and in Germany.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte were present at the event. They were accompanied by their grandparents, Mr Michael Middleton and Mrs Carole Middleton.

The Duke and the Duchess of Cambridge hope that this race will become an annual event to raise funds in support of the charities they supported.
