The Swedish Royal Family attend the State Opening of the Parliament

On September 10, 2019 the Swedish Royal Family arrive at the Stockholm Cathedral for the State Opening of the new year of the Parliament. At the ceremony are present King Carl Gustaf XVI and Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria with her husband Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip with his wife Princess Sofia. All ladies of the Royal Family are dressed in black to attend the church service after which the members of the Royal Family travel by carriage to the Parliament House which is called the Riksdag building.

On the occasion Crown Princess Victoria who is the heir to the Swedish Throne in according to the tradition wears a black and white ensemble. She opts for a black jacket with a white bow at the collar and white details from Milly, a little black dress, black heeled shoes with matching clutch bag. Princess Victoria adorned her hair with a white head band and a pair of white baroque pearl  and gold hoop earrings.

Queen Silvia arrives wearing a silver poncho coat with jewels buttons, a white hat, a black clutch bag and matching shoes. Under the coat that she put on for the cold, she wears a black dress and accessorized the outfit with a black pearl necklace coordinated with a pair of pearl drop earrings and a huge pearl brooch.

Princess Sofia of Sweden breaking the tradition wears a black midi dress with a black clutch bag but instead of combining the outfit with the white, she chooses burgundy heeled shoes and a matching headpiece with diamond drop earrings.
